Kindness Week 2017
In celebration of World Kindness Day on November 13, 2017, the Office of Student Life partnered with friends in and outside of the university community to share kindness all week long.
Celebrating World Kindness Day at The Ohio State University
Dr. J helped us kick off Kindness Week with her thoughts on the importance of kindness and how she sees it in action here at Ohio State.
Students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members joined us in sharing #KindColumbus with the world!
Feeding the Funnel
In celebration of World Kindness Day, the Office of Student Life partnered with The Columbus Foundation, Ohio State Athletics and the Ohio State Alumni Association to bring The Pack Shack to campus.
Over 600 Buckeyes joined us to pack a grand total of 210,000 meals in just two hours! Half the meals were distributed right here in Columbus while the other half went to Puerto Rico with Convoy of Hope.
Kind Columbus in Action
With the support of our friends at KIND Snacks, the Office of Student Life shared random acts of kindness all over Columbus, surprising the community with gifts, smiles and — of course — kindness!
A Win for Kindness
On Saturday, November 18, Ohio State Football took on Illinois in the rain and won. But this game wasn’t just about football — Ohio State’s kindness was on display on the Shoe’s big screen.
Beyond Kindness Week
We loved celebrating kindness for a week, but we also know that the Ohio State community gives kindness every day. From student organizations to university programs to individual acts of kindness, Buckeyes define #KindColumbus in so many ways.
